Glowlink Receives Order To Supply
Satellite Monitoring Systems To US Government Satellite
Operation Centers Worldwide
LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA, April 8, 2004–
Glowlink Communications Technology, Inc. announces that
it has received a major, multi-year order to supply
the Model 1000 advance satellite monitoring system to
all US Government Defense Satellite Communications System
(DSCS) Operations Centers (DSCSOC) around the world.
This order is a part of the United States Army’s
Integrated Monitoring and Power Control Subsystems (IMPCS)
program. The initial order, consisting of fifty-two
Model 1000s, will provide advanced monitoring capabilities
to the United States Government DSCSOC’s. This
will be followed by 10 one-year options for additional
units.
The IMPCS program is a US Army Enterprise Information
System (EIS) program that provides state-of-the-art
spectrum monitoring and integrated uplink power control
capabilities for the DSCS and the next-generation Wideband
Gapfiller satellites. Glowlink's role in the IMPCS program
is to provide full-up spectrum monitoring systems (both
hardware and software), as well as software for controlling
uplink power to compensate for severe environmental
conditions.

Glowlink Model 1000 Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System
is a fully Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product based
on Window PC platform housed in a single industrial
chassis. Besides offering a rich set of powerful, industry-leading
satellite monitoring features and easy-to-use operator
interface, the system’s core networking architecture
allows the user to easily scale the underlying monitoring
network to meet evolving needs.
