Glowlink Introduces the LC100 –
Local Equipment Controller – to its suite of monitoring
and power control systems
LOS ALTOS, CALIFORNIA, March 2005
- Glowlink announces the launch of the LC100 –
Local Equipment Controller, a system that will give
network operators a flexible and scalable solution designed
to provide monitoring, status and control (M&C)
type functions in a satellite earth station. As a local
equipment controller, the LC100 delivers a solution
that provides operators direct and even centralized
control of common earth station equipment such as spectrum
analyzers, RF switches, signal generators, power meters
and also the Glowlink Model 1000 DSP Satellite Monitoring
System. Additional sophisticated functions such as spectrum
measurements, inter-facility link (IFL) calibration
data log and networking capabilities can also be performed
through the system.
This system, supporting Glowlink’s strategic
evolution to be a leading provider of satellite monitoring
and power control systems was launched at SAT2005 in
Washington, DC.
“As more equipment is being used and introduced
to the earth stations, satellite operators are faced
with the need to control and network with these different
equipments. The need to easily control the various types
of common earth station equipment locally or remotely

control.”
