Glowlink introduces the Model 3010
Uplink Power Control System
Los Altos, California, July 12, 2005
- Glowlink today announces the introduction of the Model
3010 Uplink Power Control System. The Model 3010
is a new generation of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
based UPC with vastly improved speed and accuracy. The
Model 3010 will help combat signal degradation by providing
effective, automatic and safe power management to compensate
for uplink rain and atmospheric attenuation. It is designed
to work with both moderate and severe atmospherically
induced degradation.

to the market. With the Model 3010, uplink power levels
can be better and more effectively managed for frequencies
through Ku and even Ka-bands,” said Jeffrey Chu,

power control that the Model 3010 can bring.”
The Model 3010 is a DSP-based solution that uses advanced
Glowlink power control technology to manage power adjustments.
Built upon standard PC networking protocols, the Windows
Graphical User Interface provides an easy-to-use method
of system operation.

the Model 3010 can also prevent against transponder
compression or saturation by regulating power level
changes, creating an all in one package for dependable

Today’s announcement reinforces Glowlink’s
