Glowlink Rolls Out Linux™-based
Satellite Monitoring System
May 4th, 2006, Los Altos, California – Glowlink,
a leading manufacturer of high-end satellite monitoring,
interference detection and geolocation systems, today
announces that Glowlink’s flagship Model 1000
Satellite Spectrum Monitoring System is now available
on the Linux™ platform.
The Linux option allows the Model 1000 to serve enterprises
that emphasizes the network security, scalability and
robustness of a Linux-based IP environment. Similar
to its Windows™ -based sibling, the Linux-based
Model 1000 runs on industrial-grade, commercial-off-the-shelf
(COTS) PC hardware.

The Glowlink Model 1000 is a state-of-the-art DSP based
spectrum monitoring system specially designed for satellite
applications. It can be used either as a
stand-alone system, or as part of a larger network of
monitoring systems. In addition, the Model
1000 can be upgraded to a fully integrated interference
detection and geolocation system, at a fraction of the
price of other similar products on the market.
