Glowlink Receives Patent for Satellite
Uplink Power Control Technology
November 1, 2006, Los Altos,
California - Glowlink,
a company specializing in satellite ground equipment,
announces that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
has granted it a patent for satellite uplink power
control (UPC) technology. The patented technology
achieves fast and accurate control of transmit power
for satellite traffic without causing transponder compression
or saturation. Built into the company’s
Model 3010 and Model 3000 UPC products, the patented
technology is applicable across all standard satellite
transmission frequency bands, including the environmentally
vulnerable Ku and Ka bands.
“The granting of this patent marks yet another
milestone for Glowlink’s quest for innovation,” said
Michael L. Downey, Glowlink Chief Technology Officer. “It
affirms the company’s tradition of innovation,
balanced by an acute sense of customer needs and product
quality.”
