The Model 8000 is a fully-integrated spectrum monitoring, interference detection and geolocation system. Users can quickly transition between spectrum monitoring activities and geolocation with a single mouse click. This seamless transition between monitoring, interference detection and geolocation not only dramatically reduces time and efforts involved with geolocation, it is vital for the success of geolocating fast moving and intermittent interferences—both intentional and unintentional.
The Model 8000 is the only product on the market with the entire system (acquisition hardware and processing software) integrated on a single, rack-mountable chassis. This compactness is key to the system’s ease of transport, operation and logistical support.
The Model 8000 is a time tested and proven geolocation system that is effective across L, C, X, Ku and Ka bands. It has been used to successfully resolve some of the toughest interference events around the world. These events have included interference from mobile terminals, fast moving sweepers, as well as difficult (both intentional and unintentional) bursting and hopping signals.
The Model 8000 has also been successful in working with satellite configurations where other products have failed. Examples include: distant adjacent satellites (e.g. 20 deg separation from the affected satellite); satellites in highly inclined orbits; as well as satellites with very little motion such as those equipped with xenon ion propulsion system (XIPS).
